‘Closer’ is the hypnotic new effort from rising electronic artist Maria Chiara Argirò. It’s an innovative track that slowly builds from its opening soundscape into a gentle electronic groove, defined by a piano arpeggio, soft synths and expertly produced and edited vocals. Its instrumental final minute is an ethereal experience, especially when combined with the moving visuals of Raoul Paulet’s dance-based video. “This song explores the dream of navigating life, finding where you truly belong and discovering freedom within this feeling,” she says. “It’s a journey centered on connecting with oneself and getting closer in a dreamlike world.” Her new album, Closer, is out on April 26th, 2024, via Innovative Leisure.
